Elvira Rafailovna Misbakhova (Russian: Эльвира Рафаиловна Мисбахова) is a Volga Tatar born Russian / Canadian violist and violinist. Misbakhova is presently Principal Viola at the Orchestre Métropolitain of Montreal. Her recent recording with Chandos Records received widespread acclaim from leading magazines such as The Strad and Classiacal Sourse. Very active on chamber music scene Misbakhova performs with most prominent  canadian musicians , such as Jonathan Crow, Stephane Tetreault, Valerie Milot, Jocelyne Roy , Andre Moisan, Yukari Cousineau, Jean Saulnier, Jean-Philippe Sylvestre, Marc Djokic  and she also appeared as a soloist with Orchestre Métropolitain , Drummondville symphony orchestra, Longueuil Symphony orchestra, Laval symphony orchetsra, chamber orchestra “La Primavera” (Russia), The State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, Nouvelle Generation chamber orchestra among many others. She is also a violinist of internationally acclaimed, award-winning klezmer group Kleztory.
