Ad lucem Duo
Elvira Misbakhova & Meagan Milatz
Ad lucem means “toward the light.” It is a viola-and-piano duo.
This project was born from a very simple desire: to create a musical space where one can breathe, listen, and reconnect with something essential.
We are living through a period marked by great uncertainty and rapid change. In this context, I felt the need to design a program that doesn’t seek to escape reality, but instead offers a moment of pause, clarity, and inner resonance.
The Ad lucem repertoire was chosen as a gradual journey.
Each work explores a form of light—sometimes fragile, sometimes more assured, but always human. This is not a statement, nor a message imposed, but an invitation to listen—an’écoute that leaves room for silence and personal feeling.
